Can anyone rent a vehicle?
Anybody over the age of twenty who has a valid driving license and has held it for more than 3 years can rent a vehicle. We will also check a few things at the time of the rental (If you have a credit card etc.) We ask for your understanding in advance.
Can someone other than the person who rents it drive the vehicle?
Certainly. However we will request the name and a copy of the driving license of all drivers at the time of rental.
Can foreign nationals rent a car?
As Japan is a member of the Geneva International Treaty, we accept international driving licenses. Please bring your passport and your international driving license.
If I like the car that I rent, is it possible to purchase it?
In such cases, please talk to our company’s staff.
I got a parking ticket. What should I do?
Always go to the police station listed on the ticket and pay the fine. If non-payment is detected the next day, the money will be requested from the contract holder and you may be prevented from renting in future.
Is it possible to have the rental vehicle delivered to my house?
Yes, though a fee will be charged. The area to which we can deliver cars is also limited. Please ask our staff about it before making a reservation.
Is it possible to pick up or return a vehicle outside of business hours?
We would ask you to please use business hours (from 10am to 7pm). Depending on your conditions, we may be able to respond outside of business hours. Please contact us for more details.
Is it possible to extend the rental during use?
If nobody has reserved the vehicle after your reservation, we can offer you an extension. However if there is a reservation waiting, then we will have to refuse. Make sure to inform us of any changes to your situation as soon as possible.
If I think I am going to be late in picking up the vehicle, what should I do?
If you think you are going to be late for the pickup, please phone us as soon as possible. If you are late and we haven’t received any contact from you, the reservation will be considered cancelled. There will be a cancellation fee, and we may not be able to provide you with another car.
Can I rent a vehicle that comes with a driver?
Unfortunately it is against the law, so we can’t provide you with or introduce you to a driver.
Is the price of the gasoline included in the rental fee?
No it isn’t. You rent the car with a full tank and should return it with a full tank. If the tank isn’t full when you return it, then we will charge you by calculating the distance travelled. In such cases, the charge will be higher than the price of gasoline at that time, so please keep that in mind.
When do I pay?
You can pay when making the reservation or when picking up the car. You can pay in cash, by bank transfer or by credit card. If there are additional charges such as an extension fee, repair costs, fuel charges or extra distance charges, you can pay them when returning the car by cash or credit card.
What do I need to bring when I pick up the car?
You should bring your driver’s license (this applies to everyone who intends to drive the car) and either cash or a credit card to pay the rental fee.
What does the rental fee include?
The vehicle rental fee includes mandatory vehicle liability insurance and voluntary insurance.
Can I make a long term rental?
Yes, we accept long term rentals. The shortest rental is for 1 day (same day return) and the longest possible is 1 month. If you want to know about the costs of renting for more than a month, please ask us.
Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes you can. Please contact us by telephone. However, depending on when you cancel the reservation, a cancellation fee may be charged.
Can I make a reservation at any time?
Yes. You can make a reservation by phone or on our homepage. However if making a reservation for the next day, there may be no cars available. We recommend you reserve your vehicle as early as possible.
If I forget my license on the day of the rental, can I still get the car?
Unfortunately, without your license, we cannot give you the car. Please make sure you have your license with you.
Can I make a rental using an international driver’s license?
Yes, as long as you bring the correct international license that allows you to drive in Japan and your passport. Please make sure to bring your Geneva International Treaty member state approved international driver’s license. In addition please bring your national driver’s license for the country which issued your passport.
